Okay so how can you guys tell if your collection has become quantity over quality? And when aquiring shells and what not where do you draw the line as to rebuild or just let it go? I was cleaning up my joe room and discovered that I have shells and partially completed vehicles all over the place. So I figured I would ask you guys what you think.

as a seller if the vehicle is not complete or near complete I toss the shell (unless it's perfect) and part it all out.
My toy collection is quantity but "quality" depends on the eye of the beholder. To me it's all quality...even the dumbest cheapest poorly made item has a certain charm about it to me.

I tend to go with quality, but collecting leads to quantity.
but i will keep certain things for sentimental reasons, but if it is so busted up or missing too much, i will get rid of it, and replace it with a better one. i don't care for multiples. anyway.

I started going for quantity in the beginning, but then spent too much time trying to complete pieced out vehicles & figures. Now I go for both.

If it's a shell of a vehicle that you want to complete, then keep it. If it's something you could care less about, sell it.
