I am getting tired of some of it,but I don't agree in the case of dvd packs. They give you 3-4 figures a mass device piece, some unique accesories and a dvd for 20$.That seems like a pretty good deal to me.Granted there are repaints in these sets.Sell them, give them away, tear off there heads and put them on pikes. If you get 2 usable figures, that would cost you 16$ anyway.I put the some of the dvd figures up for .99 on ebay.Scuba baroness sold for 15$(I have no idea why?!)Also comic 2 packs are basicly 5$ figures and a comic(I enjoy the comics)Not a bad deal either.
I do find myself less interested in upcoming waves. What or who is a wraith, and why do I care?Cobra trooper flint seems kinda silly as well.Im sure any customizer on here could wip that up in a few minutes. |

I find it rather coincidental that as I'm reading this, a news report is playing on TV talking about the factories in China. Many of which are closing down due to the increasing costs they have to pay. "The days of cheap labor are over" one man says as he goes on to explain that the minimum wage has risen 3 times already and that workers are more informed and will shop around. Also there are new labor laws and quality of worker's lives have improved.
So I suppose you can blame some of that on why you have to pay a couple of dollars more for your toys or why there are a few more corners cut. I can understand people being upset about some of the unique figures they really want being in multipacks. But look at this. Typically, the price per figure of most of these multipacks is less than what you would pay if they were single carded. DVD sets are only $20 depending on the set, that's either $5 or $6 per figure (Not including the DVD's or other playset parts in the price) The 3 packs are $15 that's $5 per figure The 5 packs are $25 That's also $5 per figure Looks like the days of $5 figures are here now, not just last year. As for repaints, yes there are more than some may like, but let's look at all the new sculpts lately, most of wave 7 & wave 9. Sure wave 8 was mostly repaints, but 2 out of 3 waves are mostly all new sculpts. Then there's the repaints that look like they're all new figures and you don't even notice the use of the same sculpt. |

Yes, we all hate repaints, but thats a fact of life with new toy lines.
Keep in mind, back in the 80's Hasbro would release maybe 15 figures on single cards per year, and maybe another 15 with vehicles. Thats 30 figures total. In the last year, we've gotten over 200. Hasbro and other toy companies cannot afford to do new tooling to that degree, so we are going to have to live with repaints if you want more than 3 waves of singles and another 3 of vehicles per year. |

I hear what you're sayin and think that Star Wars is to blame for this. That's where Hasbro learned that they can milk collectors as MUCH as they want for as LONG as they want.

In the end, its all business.
Its not like you're obligated to buy. We all have choices too. |

I just want repaints that make sense like the rest of the Python Patrol. What I don't need is a blue crimson guard with a Cobra commander head and cape.

Just want everyone to know that Hasbro`s part in the prices of Joes is small, We need to blame the store you buy it from... Hasbro sells their figures to the store at a base rate I`ts the store that jax the price up to make profit!!!! So if you don`t like the prices complain to the store...But don`t take it out on the manufacture....Cobraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! !

Hasbro put GI Joe back onto the market with a respectable line, so there fore I am forced by loyalty to give them my money. Its a collector thing

I think Hasbro is doing a fine job, sure Quick Kick deserves his own single Card...but who cares at least we're getting him!
