OooOOooOOOOoooo, employee store, I am definitely sneaking in. Maybe I can get hired as a night janitor while I am there, then quit right before i leave. |

It's not what you think. Most of their employee "store" is online. You get a discount being an employee but that's about it. It's not like your're going to walk in and it's going to be Toys R Us circa 1985 and full to shit with boxed arah goodies and prototypes..... A lot of the RI facility is offices. Just like the large Distribution center a town over from me, which is a giant warehouse, full of boxes. Yeah, I found one of those by accident once in Maryland. I was searching for TRUs on my GPS and it led me there. Even if it is just offices it would still be cool to go and talk to some peeps. Maybe ask a production manager these "how its made" questions we all have. |

You could call, like someone said, but I'm pretty sure they would say no. It is a working headquarters and they don't want to have to worry people might see the next My Little Pony designs or whatever. Also, there is the headache of liability that they have to assume. Just easier for them to say "No, sorry".

i stumbled upon this old thread while googling. i know hasbro does displays of there new line each year at conventions and sometimes pull out old toys in the mix. ive wondered alot if they have some sort of vault somewhere with a copy of each past old item. do they have any sort of showroom or museum somewhere? it would be awesome if someone put together a vintage toy museum somewhere. i would if i had a big enough collection and if enough people would donate but that would never happen lol. hopefully someday someone does it. it seems like hasbro doesnt care much about the collecting side and history at all if gi joe really. they come out with anniversary stuff and misc things but i think that has more to do with running out of ideas and reselling old idea remakes to make more money. if anyone has any sort of info on any sort of hasbro tour or museum or video please let me know!
