An Action Force reboot would have been amazing. I still remember the buzz of getting my first SAS trooper.

The 2 inch ones are epic as well - Found this video review as made by what sounds like a very small child;
Random individuals or 5 packs of Troop builders... Troop builder packs. Genius. Just watching this video is everything you need to know about how Joe should be pitched to kids in the UK - 'Why would I want Dr Who in a blue shirt? I already have a Dr Who...' 'I don't know why you would want a girl figure.' 'It doesn't matter if you get the same figure - you can buy 5-packs because it's like...army.'

I saw these small HMAF figures in my local Smythes last week, they had a 6feet tall end cap full of them and about another 10 feet of HMAF figures further on.
Too early to say how they are selling, i wonder if all the Doctor Who fans will buy them as a U.N.I.T army for the similar Who figures? I think the popularity of the 12inch HMAF figures is on the decline, i've seen a lot of them in discount shops recently. I thought about the popularity of them in the past. When Action man was rereleased in the 90's, because of the polital correctness over the Gulf War Action man became an adventurer, true the kids bought them in droves, but a lot of people thought he should have stayed military. Fast forward to now, after a much bloodier 2nd Gulf War and Afganistan and realistic military figures are big sellers. True they are produced by a much smaller and UK only company, but still. I agree with the comments on the lack of advertising for ROC, i saw the film trailer on TV twice and i don't think a single toy advert was made. It shows the influence the advertising got when the comic was cancelled after only 5 issues. As for the future, if we get the same amount of advertising for the 2nd film then the toy line will bomb again and we'll only get a few waves. And if so, i think GI Joe will be forever relegated to a movie toy line and any hope of a regular long term toyline with ongoing releases will be gone.

I know I've moaned about this before, but Hasbro UK if you can read this;
Movie Stars on a boat on the Thames = Expensive and Meaningless. Movie Stars (hell - Anybody!) throwing toys with parachutes off of a building in a crowded area = priceless. Sienna Millar helping out with a parachute drop in central London would have generated soooo much media buzz...
