Dude i am sorry to hear about that. It would suck to have to sell your collection but just remember, you can buy the collection back. You can't buy health or buy someone back if one of you had died. I hope you both are alright and get to feeling better. If you do decide to sell your collection i am sure when you decide to buy it again, we will all still be here and willing to help...

Dude, that totally sucks. I've been faced with having to sell some of my stuff. Fortunately, I haven't had to, so there's hope man. I'm also familiar with unexpected car troubles - waaay too familiar. As in am leasing a new one familiar. Everything works out though. Keep heart. And like Viper said, you and your girl are both alright. You can always buy the collection back if it comes to that. You're part of the Tank dude, there's plenty to be had here!

What kind of car is it (year, make, ect) and was there any other damage that you know of (did you hit anything or was it just the ball joint broke and your car stopped)? I know you said the place can not look at it until the 12th, but give me at least as much info as you can.
I am in car biz and have been for 18 years or so now (former tech, now a manager), I can hopefully get you some idea of what you are looking at $$ wise if that helps. I am in FL, so I can't help with repairs, but at least maybe I can put your mind at ease a little. LMK

I remember when my clutch went out on me, it would have cost me $500 to replace a the old clutch and labor. Good thing I know the service adviser who gave me a discount.
Its always good to have an emergency fund than to resort to selling off a portion of your collection. |
