The license to sell is expensive.
You have to have a store front,sales tax certificate and fill out a lot of paper work. The opening minimum order is $10,000.00 of product. I'm not kidding. After that the minimum falls to $5000.00 per order. It doesn't matter what you get. If you go through a distribution warehouse it can be less of an order. Pre-orders must be placed four to six months in advance and ther is no garuntee of fill amount.

Is that the amount to buy direct from Hasbro? My cousin is friends with a guy that has a toy shop and he tried to buy direct from Hasbro and said that there was a $5000.00 franchise fee that didn't count towards merchandise. I think that was a few years ago so maybe it's changed since then...just curious.
