Well to be honest in the end the notion of grown men/women buying toys is considered "dumb" my most if not all adults execept from forums like this,so the means of buying multiple figures is more correct than hiding them and coming back later when the "kids" that you say that buy joes get there and see none because its hidden from view(and kids who are not accustomed to what hisstank/yojoe/etc have no idea to "look for hidden toys") so someone else can buy them later or another day. Its not like theres alot of joes to buy anyways since wave 9 is nowhere to be seen in most parts still (though there have been reports of re-stocking).I think this is a very good discussion and it should be heavely commented on since there are always two sides to this matter.

Castro I agree and hope you dont think were arguing........your a Joe Brother in Arms. I think its all stupid...we all should be able to walk into a store and buy what we want at anytime of the day......and its sad that one dude can either pick the pallet clean, buy all the figs......or hide..........

We shouldnt have to pay online prices and shipping when the stores should just stock.........

Yeah, I hide figures, whatta ya going to do about it?

Seriously, I hide them and come back. Sometimes, I forget my checkbook, or the wife to the credit card and forgot to give it back, etc.

the ONLY problem I have with people hiding figures is the long run. Store's inventory is computer controlled. If they get 2 cases and someone hides 1 1/2, the store shows they have that many still in stock and thus won't order more until it's gone. If no one ever buys them as they are hidden, that store may not get some for awhile or until an physical inventory gets done and assumes a miscount or theft occurred.

However, it is fun to look through the "Pink" aisle or automotive and find some gems that have been hidden by someone else

i came up on wave 9 july 3rd at 7 am. their atm didnt work. i was trippin, i had to be at work and i stopped looking for joes. so i hid them.went back 8 hours later with the joe isle stripped completely.i had bazooka, bar b que, ninja ku and hawk waiting for me.then i noticed hawks bubble was damaged so i put him back. and as for b.a.t.'s if i found the stash and didnt have the cash i'd prob do the same

If someone has all the cash and they buy every figure on the shelf, fine; they have made those figures their property. Hiding them is in no way the "ethical" and certainly not the legal equivalent; they are not your property.

There is one thing and one thing only that gives a collector the "right" to toys; sliding the cash, the plastic, or the check across the counter and walking out of the store with what he paid for.

Hiding stuff is weak sauce, for whiny selective socialists. But that's nothing new.

"i dont hide toys but i sure would like to see someone hide the new milenium falcon"

I hid one at walmart once. I carefully slipped it into a truck tire that was on display, then carefully and inconspicuously replaced the cardboard hubcap.

Hiding is for douches, IMHO.
