im very overwhelmed but not burnt out. not yet anyways. i am though pretty burnt out on star wars! blahh.
With all the vehicles coming out, and DVD packs and CP's, and Wave 10, and Wave 11... yikes. im kinda of hopeing they drop this line to make movie crap so i can chill for a bit. No saying i want joes to go away, just a little break would be nice. |

so lately ive been really bored with joe collecting not saying im not into it anymore im just saying i feel like its taking all my money and i have nothing else to show for it except joes. ive been slacking on getting alot of things done, and i dont do as many things as i use to. it seems like everytime i get on ebay even though theres tons of joes to look for, i feel like ive seen it all.
mabe im just in a weird mood but i deffinetly need a break. with so much coming out on top of collecting rah, ive been really broke, lol. so i think im just gonna take a break. anyone ever feel like this. i feel like my whole life just revolves around joes. i was all about tricking my car out before i got back into collecting and my cadillac has been broke down for almost a year now, haha which is crazy to think about, seeing as for as much money ive spent on joes i could of had it fixed a few times. i even sold my rims to buy more joes because having dubs just didnt seem practical anymore. exspcially since i live in michigan and dont get to rock them for very long. i only have one friend who collects joes beside me and i dont really kick it with none of my other friends very much. its weird how joes can kinda take over your life. i think ive just got really carried away with it and it is deffinetly time to relax and do some other stuff with my life i need to get done... sorry to ramble just bored with things lately and thaught id share. its quite simple....quit |

I'm not bored of them but tired. Yesterday I was going to look for some Joes and I decided to not go because I felt tired of hunting and looking, so I just went to work. I'm tired of wasting my time and energy for nothing. I don't think about them as much anymore. I feel I put more work into it and get less fun out of it. That is not good.

I got burnt out when they did the DTC thing a few years ago. But now that they're back in stores I'm in again.

Really? This is the only thing to talk about? We've covered new singles, comic packs, dvd sets, multi packs and now there's nothing left? Is that it? Better enjoy the Joe crap now before its taken over by the movie line.
And Coola784... you don't deserve to call yourself a GI Joe fan. Suck it up pal. Life's rough. Get a helmet. |

I can see how it can be overwhelming. I myself am only buying one of each of the single carded figures and the crimson twins. That way, I get 6 new figures every three months, which is enough. I am even fine with the line ending at about 80 single carded figures as for me that will make a pretty kick ass collection.
All the other stuff is nice but don't have the room, cash, and don't want to be obsessive about it. Think about all the people that buy everything, in multiples and other lines as well. It can get quite hectic and expensive. To me this should be a fun distraction, but when it borders on obsession and you are feeling worn out, than yeah you have to step back and decide what's important. |
