Comic vs Cartoon: What's better?

The Topless Robot has 8 dame good reasons why the G.I. Joe comics kicks the cartoon's ass!

That blog has lots of post about G.I. Joe, Transformers, and 80's cartoons in general.

Some Joe fans saw the comics. Most Joe fans saw the cartoon. With that in mind, I think that when fans think of GI Joe they think of the Sunbow series. Cheesy? Absolutely, but still the go to source. The comics had better stories and lacked the hokey-ness and I believe that the bulk of folks here will go with the coic but you can't get around it... Everyone knows that 'learning is half the battle.'

don't get me wrong the cartoon is great, but Mr.Hama's comics are awesome.

grew up with the cartoon and love the comics!! i would say the comics are more important to joe lore but the cartoons are what made the characters stick out in my head as a kid. love em both!!! CCCCCOOOOOBBBBBBRRRRRAAAAA!!!!!!!
