Ok OK I am going to rant again.... Why Hasblow has not figured out yet that we would pay big money for newly minted vintage toys Ill never know! I am sure they can sell 500 Terror Dromes and 500 Flaggs with No Trouble (If not 1K) what so ever! as well as most of our bigger issues we had as kids! I just don't know why they don't.
Rant Over! Wait theirs More... Also how bad does the guy feel now who put the price point on Starscream Skystriker at $49.99. is he now answering to his boss why they are selling for $150.00 bucks 2 days after a sell out! I am going to write a letter.

I think based on how well the Skystriker sells will determine if we see anymore larger vintage reissues. Before now, almost every reissue Hasbro has sold to us has sat until clearanced out....that only tells Hasbro that a small percentage of customers want reissues and that's not enough to justify making more.
As for the Hasbro guy who priced the SDCC Skystriker, he's probably being congradulated on setting a price that was in the "magic area" (IE: made Hasbro a profit and was still low enough to entice fans to buy all of them) Make no mistake, I'm sure Hasbro made their money and could care less how much these things are selling for now |

Rant Over! Wait theirs More... Also how bad does the guy feel now who put the price point on Starscream Skystriker at $49.99. is he now answering to his boss why they are selling for $150.00 bucks 2 days after a sell out! I am going to write a letter. 1. To cost of designing, molding, and manufacturing vintage style playsets the size of the TD, or USS Flagg, would be HUUUUGGGEEE, the cost of plastics has gone up, the cost of shipping has gone up, wages for employees has gone up, etc. etc. I guess what I'm getting at is, for this to be even remotely feasible they would have to sell WAY more than 500 of them just to break even on tooling costs. 2. Starstriker price point. $49.99 is already a $15 increase for essentially the exact same item being sold in stores currently. Charging much more than they did would have been an obvious gouging and while some of us would gladly pay it, it would be semi-unethical of Hasbro to charge that. They have no control over the secondary market. A MOC Snake Eyes cost $2 in 1982, an AFA graded one now costs $5000+, I know it's a ridiculous example, but you get the idea. If anything the person who created the price point (who's identity many of us are probably aware of, but I'll spare him the hate mail) is probably being praised. He successfully priced and produced 3 highly sought after exclusives that all sold out swiftly.
