Yeah, I really had to fight back the harsh cop comments in my last post, but that sounds like a typical police officer to me. Whoops, we're derailing the thread here...
On topic, I have fun buying and messing around with my Joes and Transformers. When I don't have fun anymore - I'll stop! Last edited by Cobra Terrorist; 07-12-2011 at 06:48 PM.. |

Screw what everyone thinks!!! If no one has noticed over the past couple of decades the nerds rule the world. Everyone has come out of the closet. The most successful people are nerds! Watch Star Wars, ET, Super 8, and Robot Chicken! Talk about building dio's and playing with them dang let's do some stop motion!!!
If it does not effect your families well being (financial well being) and you enjoy and appreciate fine sculpting and detail on action figures then buy them. I have bought and sold collections 4 or 5 times now, at a large profit and continue to collect at the ripe old age of 49, it's just to much fun. Could be worse I could spend all my time and money on a losing hobby like the horse races. Last edited by ltfalcon; 07-12-2011 at 07:23 PM.. |

I started collecting again as an adult in 2002. I'm glad I did because it kept me out of getting into trouble and gave me something to focus on that was creative and positive. I do think some people take the hobby too far though. There are all kinds of boarders, OCD completeists, compulsive hunters, credit maxers, etc. If you fall into one of those categories, though, I'd just suggest you reflect on your habits and make them healthier. I don't see any reason to needlessly toss everything.
