I know this will NEVER happen, but I would love to see a GI Joe Lego game, like the SW lego games.

with third person camera option the campaign can follow the same linear line as Transformers WFC, you begin as a Green Shirt, go through training, defend a couple of posts... then you infiltrate the Terror Drome, take on the persona of a Cobra Officer, infiltrate the higher ranks, dismantle the M.A.S.S. Device. The multi player would be epic, 10 maps including Terror Drome and PIT. Killstreaks, custom weapon loadout, and customized avatar. it's that custom avatar that will be SICK! Say start with 15 outfits for each team, Beachhead, Duke, Lady Jaye, etc... and Cobra Soldier, CC, Destro, Baroness... but you can color code each 'section; head, torso, leg right, leg left, gear, head gear. You can make your own Joe AND your profile would be an extended file card, and your friends would be displayed above in small squares, it would look like the back of the carded figures!!! how fun would that be?! 3-months in a DLC including four new maps and another dozen outfits. Pre-release avatar customs. |

I'd think a Battlefield version would be better for GI Joe...
Battlefield 3 Gameplay Video I don't just want to shoot Cobras, I want to blow them to hell in a Mauler...jump in a Vamp, fly an updated Skystriker or see a Rattler fly over and carpet bomb a bunch of unsuspecting Joes... With Battlefield 3 you get to see your body somewhat, and also see vehicles - best of both worlds. EDIT - I keep coming up with more ideas on this BF concept... EA Dice created a Vietnam Mod for Battlefield Bad Company 2. A GI Joe Mod, available for Content Download via Xbox Live or PSN would allow Hasbro to Piggyback on an existing game franchise and not worry about distribution issues or competing with the name brand shooters. every time i say the thing about battlefront everyone crys on how killing isnt a family game and you wouldnt be able to see the character you chose .
i still thing if movie games always get the cheap end of the deal, then why not use another game format , like battle front? Gears of War would also be a cool game format, using G.I.JOE in a shooter the possibilities are endless! i still have gamer addict friends hounding me to give them or let them borrow my Roc G.I.JOE for PS3 since my system is temporarily down till i can send it in, i tell them NO WAY!! i will not loan out or sell my G.I.JOE ROC game! Buy your own online! i think i am lucky to have a copy! pry it from my cold dead hands! YO JOE!! |

So you are basically ignoring all posts with real world logic to further your own preferred view of things, gotcha.

For the record, I think Joe is more than capable of being a great source for a solid 3rd person action game. But I think it will take a LOT of effort to make the game more than a cheap tie in, and right now the brand really hasn't prove itself capable of supporting that kind of investment.

Pretty much! But the negatives ones do make some keys points! I'm just to excited to think it could work! Heck, the Wright Brothers thought they could fly when others said it couldn't be done. I guess we are living in a world with no air plains!

Battlefield is an EA game - EA and Hasbro already have a working relationship for games - All Hasbro Games - EA And like it or not, EA did distribute the RoC game... http://www.ea.com/gi-joe-the-rise-of-cobra Now I say we create a thread on the BF3 Forums and post the shit out of it and see if we could get some feedback from Dice. You're still missing the part where EA/Dice would have to pay Hasbro a couple million bucks (at least) to make the mod/game.
Very unlikely to be worth their time, when they can make a game that's just as profitable (or likely even more profitable) without paying licensing fees. |
