Wolves don't have rabies. They may have the potential, but so does any animal including humans. If wolves had rabies by default, they'd be extinct as it is a fatal disease. Wolves aren't a good pet, but they can be trained like dogs although it is harder. There has been more than one documentary on discovery channel showing people domesticate them to a degree. Polly is more ridiculous because at least Timber could rip some blue shirts to shreds.

Yeah having a figure come with a pet partner was a bonus for me as a kid, and I still think it is cool now; and so does my 6 year old son. Part of the reason the 1985 Snake Eyes was so great, was it was already a great figure, and then he comes with a wolf to boot. Just too awesome! And Polly, even though he is the smartest parrot alive, was hilarious in the Sunbow cartoon.
