Loose mint and complete the figure is fairly common. Even the filecard can be tracked down with little effort. But, carded is a different story. I won't purport value as it's been a while since one was publicly traded. But, that sold for a couple hundred if I remember correctly. They certainly aren't something you see every day, but there are a lot of them out there.

It's been a few months since I've been searching for Marujos on Ebay and it was difficult to find any. When they did show up, they were usually incomplete and had bad paint wear or broken parts. I never say a MOC one in that time. Maybe things have changed but Tiger Force seems to be somewhat of a hot item nowadays... |

As always, Mike is right on the ball. You can easily find a loose/complete Marujo. Depending on paintwear, you can more than likely find one cheap too. Carded...I've only seen one example. EVER. |

You guys have got to put "easy" into context, because to me, "easy" is finding a mint/complete Televiper. Marujo is at least in the ranks of, say, Claymore or Starduster in terms of availability/condition.

For me, easy is any figure that you can find within a month or so of looking. In any given month, you'll usually have a couple of chances at a decent Marujo.
Truthfully, I think very few Joes fall into the hard to find category and even fewer would be "rare". It's all in how hard you are willing to look. Rare stuff simply never appears for sale in public. It is all sold privately. Hard to find stuff shows up periodically, but it's usually from isolated sources. I'll just say this, in my opinion, there is no released American Joe figure that is rare and very few are hard to find.

Just because not many people posted about it doesn't mean no one owns it. Usually, collectors who have pieces like this dont' jump at every chance to tell the world they own something farily hard to find. You're not going to find one with just a week of posting on a message board. If you really want one of these, you're going to have to do some research and be ready to prove you have money to spend in the event that one shows up.
