Somewhere, there is some artwork or something that shows unproduced Cobra La concepts. Among these is a figure that looks a lot like the Nullifier. As such, many suspect that the Nullifier was originally slated to be a series 2 Cobra La figure if the concept was successful at retail. Fortunately, the idea bombed and was quickly cancelled.

This is all very interesting. I had no Idea. has any one checked yojoe.com for the artwork? Don't worry about the verbage dude most people won't be an a$$ about it. I think it is great that we have a world perspective around here. Welcome. The huge He-man & Skeletor in your toy page are awesome. Did they ever release them in America?

This would be a cool question to ask in the next Hasbro Q&A. Make 'em dig through those archives!
The nullifier was a bit bigger than other 3&3/4 inch figs, and is the only one in the line to have hieroglyphs sculpted into his uniform IIRC. |

that's some interesting info! And I definitely agree about the Hydro Vipers and Darklon being part of cobra la, they don't look human.

Thats crazy. I never knew about that. They should have at least made another 3 pack of la figures. Pythona never being made still bothers me. I mean even if your not a fan of GI JOE the movie or cobra la it is a part of GI JOE history and for that reason should be made.

...I Love Pythona.
Nullifier sure does stick out like a turd in a punchbowl with the other IGs. I have never heard of Darklon ties to Cobra-La. I just don't see it. He's 1989 product. Two years after the movie? He's got a leg full of grenades, a knife, and a computer on his wrist... that sure don't feel like Cobra-La to me. |
