Remember the "card craze"? I do...I just found shoeboxes filled with Garbage Pail Kids, Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc etc...and G.I.JOE.
Nothing really "special" about them but I thought they were a really cool novelty for the franchise to have. I'm just starting to get them in order. I know I have a few complete sets as I can remember buying a few boxes...looking foward to putting them in some binders. Anyone else have these? One character card for each card, otherwise you can keep your bullshit reasons for me to buy them to your self. I understand that chrome cards are over, but cram in the signature of Chris Latta on a collector card to chase my interest. My uncle had a comic/card shop. A fat man with a fanny pack doesn't sell trading cards. Fuck the statistics, but sell the cards as though they're file cards. That's why we ever bought them in the first place. Include the shit that hardcore fans hate, but do the cards right and people like me will be there. |

Those look like the ones I remember from the 80's. I had a whole set of them back then, and every (I mean every) Garbage Pail Kid produced up to about the 6th series or 7th series. I still have a complete set of one of them too, I think it''s series 4? Once I got the whole series, I wrapped the complete set and it hasn't been opened since......198something???? Whenever that series came out anyhow. Might have to unwrap them and check them all out for old times sake now. I also have a complete Topps Desert Storm set from what, 1989 or 1990 or so? Those old G.I.Joe cards were awesome though, the card and box art in nice high gloss on the fronts of them.....brings me back to a much much easier time (no bills!)

I always thought the operation desert storm cards were one of the stranger ideas of the time. I'll trade you a Colin Powell and a Norman Schwarzkopf for an F 117A. That said,I had a complete set
