I recently started a thread about the rarest Joe figures ofthe 80's. Now I want the talk vehicles. We all know that pretty much anything MISB can be considered rare, so let's discuss rarity in terms of numbers produced. I will start off by throwing Sears exclusives out there. What else do you guys consider rare or hard to find?

U.S.S Flagg. Although popular at the time, such a big & pricey piece had to have been produced in much smaller quantities, let alone that it was mostly only available around X-mas time for two "seasons".

The rarest I think would be the USS Flagg as well. Even rarer would be the Canadian USS Flagg...haha. Actually, the Canadian exclusive MSV is ultra rare too I think. I've never seen it in a store, but I have played with it before because my cousin had it and I was wondering why the Vamp was black. Back then, I never thought of exclusives like that. I actually didn't even know about exclusives. I remember Sears only had the SMS on the shelves and no other Joes and I wondered why that's all they had. If only I picked them all up and left them MISB...haha.

if we're talking rarity as in rare to find now, complete and fully intact... it would, of course, be the super-huge vehicles like Flagg and Defiant, etc. lots of small, easily lost, easily broken parts.

How about the blue s.n.a.k.e. armor? Cobra stinger? Cobra ferret? Cobra nightlanding? Or even the rattler? The flag was rare even on shelves cuz it took up half the toy department. There's actually a misb version on ebay as we speak and if I had the dough it would be mine. How about the radio controlled jeep they came out with in 84 or 85. I don't remember tha name. The first vamp isn't really all that common either. I'd say rare is anything sealed that you see more of assembled and tossed back in the box. Or even the ones mib with sealed contents. Because some things were never sealed in the first place. Any careful inspection can show that.

The remote controlled vehicle you speak of is the Crossfire. There was two versions available (both were identical except for the frequency so you can race them against each other).

Let's leave the HUGE ones out, as it goes without saying that they are rare. I have to agree on the Crossfire...been looking for that one MISB for some while now.

Two that come to mind are the Night Boomer and the Desert Apache. There's also a mail away APC in different colors.
