I look at every figure on the peg to make sure. I've found plenty of good HTF figures just sitting on the back of the peg.
I've even gone back to check areas I thought I was thorough on and found stuff I overlooked. This happens at the discount stores though. Most regular stores are better organized so it's easier. |

Cocky POS i mad dogg him on the way out and think horrible things! then i get to the food court and gaze over the awkward foreigners and pick up some starbucks and move on to the next one and its back to emotion 1. I'm systematic. I start on the left top peg, and go through every card, repeat down the column, then the next, then the next until i've checked every peg.
Sometimes I'll check twice just to be sure. I have yet to miss anything that wasn't a Target, Wal-mart or K=mart exclusive (ie. not available in canada), and I'm not about to start now. |

With the character names down the left side of the card and on top, it makes skimming easy... and I keep my dignity for when the aisle is occupied. Nothing says dork like getting caught elbows-deep in Joes

"Toy store"?? "Joe aisle"?? What are these strange things of whch you speak?
Back in ye oldé days when the UK actually had decent toy stores and 'Action Force' figures were freely available I was most definately a 'digger' - Often caused physical injury too - Getting your hand in was easy enough but extracting it in one piece was a chore, rather like being dragged through a hedge backwards.

Joes are easy. Try collecting Lego minis!
Now that's some fun stuff there. I'm 33, I'll plop my ass down in the middle of the floor with my Evo and sort through what I want.

I'll dig every time as well as circle clearance aisles. Even poke behind a few rows a nearby vehicles for hidden gems.
