Wow! Who opened this can of worms again?
There are some people that just don't get MOC collecting, and therefor to 'save' the highly sought after toys for kids. They take it upon themselves to go into a toy section. Find popular items, and bend or mar the card. Hence the name card benders. In their skewed and fucked childish brains, they think that EVERYONE should be opening their toys, and therefore the condition of the card doesn't matter. It take a special breed of fucking douche bag to do this. I love self serving fucks that think they know better than everyone else. We have one of these in my state. Took my son into Wal Mart yesterday and the new vintage carded Star Wars figures were out. How did I know that our local dumbass was there? 1. One of each of the 'popular figures' was gone 2. All vintage carded figures (the ones most collectors would be after) all had a random and violent bend in the card. Really, grow the fuck up. I don't care who or what you think your doing it's childish bullshit and your parents should have smacked your stupid ass when you were little to teach you a lesson. God, sorry for the rant, but these people are the worst. To the card bender in Northern Connecticut. If I ever catch you doing this in the store, I will personal smack you upside the back of your head.

We censor because you never know when a kid may come along. I know at one time, we had a couple that used to frequent the tank with their dads.

Rather have a bent card than a MOC double scalped price.

I also don't think this is done by scalpers who do not have the money on them to buy the figures at that moment. I think that they would hide them instead of damaging them. I think this is done by poor collectors who hope that the figure will still be on the pegs the next time some money comes their way. No matter what the reason is it's pretty pathetic.

i welcome a bent card over an empty shelf in the event i want to open that particular fig but yeah when im MOC hunting...its infuriating, i see both sides, itd be better if we could all just prepay for individual figs from hasbro in the quantity we want and maybe someday they can just cut out the lame ass retailers thanks to the handy dandy intermanet then scalpers benders and packers can all rot in their moms basements or go get real fkn jobs!!!

And the reasoning is dependent on location. If I own a toy store in Bakersfield, CA and buy case fresh figures then go to the only TRU, a couple of Targets and I think there's 2 Walmarts and bend the cards, who in town is now left with MOC figures to sell to those who wont drive 2 hours away.
