Keep in mind though, I've also received sealed cases from BBTS and elsewhere that appear to be damaged on the pallet during shipping. FedEx and UPS don't always handle flimsy, cardboard boxes with care and concern. |

Well, that every Low-Light in the tri-state area is being vandalized for a sole purpose may seem like a stretch. However, I have come across pegs full of say, 25th Troopers where one corner on every card was dog eared while the other cards were near flawless. And a friend of mine picked up two more Alley-Vipers for me from a Kroger where the cards had been folded length-wise down the middle. So, it does seem to happen.

I agree. I buy one of every figure I want and leave the rest behind. Given the number of new figures that do not represent an update of an actual vintage figure, that cuts a big chunk out of what I take from the pegs. I don't have or want a wraith, or this new Iron Grenadier, etc. In this latest wave, I intend to only pick up one Crazy Legs. Now, if Hasbro decides to include one Crazy Legs per case, that's not my fault.

Wow! Who opened this can of worms again?
There are some people that just don't get MOC collecting, and therefor to 'save' the highly sought after toys for kids. They take it upon themselves to go into a toy section. Find popular items, and bend or mar the card. Hence the name card benders. In their skewed and fucked childish brains, they think that EVERYONE should be opening their toys, and therefore the condition of the card doesn't matter. It take a special breed of fucking douche bag to do this. I love self serving fucks that think they know better than everyone else. We have one of these in my state. Took my son into Wal Mart yesterday and the new vintage carded Star Wars figures were out. How did I know that our local dumbass was there? I agree 1. One of each of the 'popular figures' was gone 2. All vintage carded figures (the ones most collectors would be after) all had a random and violent bend in the card. Really, grow the fuck up. I don't care who or what you think your doing it's childish bullshit and your parents should have smacked your stupid ass when you were little to teach you a lesson. God, sorry for the rant, but these people are the worst. To the card bender in Northern Connecticut. If I ever catch you doing this in the store, I will personal smack you upside the back of your head. |

Yeah, I agree with you. I think some others have made this point as well. Out of the thousands of figures I've ever looked at on a peg, I can only think of one or 2 times that I thought the creases or bends might have been intentional. I have not seen anyone doing this, although I know that some here on the tank have personally witnessed it. But a toy goes through a lot from the warehouse to the peg, not to mention that shippers have a reputation at times of being less than delicate with boxes.
