I've mentioned this idea in other threads, but I would love to see a G.I. Joe game where every level is a different kind of game... like the 007 games: "Everything or Nothing" and "From Russia with Love".
Some levels should be like Rainbow Six - awesome, aquad-based anti-terrorist game (though I think 3rd person would be better just so we could see the Joes). Other levels could be Snake-Eyes/(Ninja of your Choice) sneaking around like Splinter Cell. Other levels could be Low-Light/(Sniper of your choice) sneaking around and doing a sniper mission. Maybe even an underwater level for Torpedo/Wet-Suit. There could be several driving/racing levels with different Joe vehicles: VAMP/AWE Striker chases, Silver Mirage motorcycle chases, Tank battles, etc... There should also be a flight simulator level for the SkyStriker/X-30, where you get to land on the Flagg. Basically, every level should be different - not just different characters, but different types of missions, and a differnt style of game. I would have thought this impossible, but the 007 games did it so well - especially, "Everything or Nothing". There could even be a "Command and Conquer" style battle at the end... those guys who make the Tom Clancy Games could probably design a game like this very well. Anyway, just my two cents... it's what I would want in a Joe game.

For me that's what Joe really needs in a game, you need to feel a part of the team and get to experience the different facets of the Joeverse. Maybe with a PoC theme like Arctic, Dessert, Jungle, and City levels, some with driving, climbing, swimming, etc. I would love something like this. I'm sure that's not even close to what we'll end up getting though. |

With all the POC stuff coming out, the sequel coming next year, you know there there is going to be some kinda of crappy movie related video game. Some one needs to think out of the box and put together a bad ass FPS game. The campaign could be you joining the team as a rookie. As you go threw missions, you team with different members of the team specific to the each mission. You could also have "level bosses" like Firefly, Major Bluud, etc. you have to defeat at the end of each mission. Now multi-player, you can use alot of cool things that are in FPS shooters now. You can have different classes for both Joe and Cobra. Like for Cobra , Infantry could be Vipers, Heavy gunners Saw Vipers and so on. If you reach a certain amount of xp or a killstreak in a match you could get vehicles or play as a major character with added abilities specific to that character. Like Snake-Eyes could be a total ghost on radar, silent, with extended melee attack. What do ya'll think?

As I've said before, I definitely think the "Battlefront" type of game would be the way to go for an excellent G.I. Joe game. It gives pretty much everything you need:
The ability to play as a variety of different characters with special abilities (and both sides/factions). Ground-based vehicle combat with a variety of different vehicles. Air-based vehicle combat A fun multiplayer mode. |

oliverbox you hit it on the nail, that would be awsome. Does anybody know who has the gaming rights? Is it still EA?

^ The ROC games had similar aspects but was far from Marvel Ultimate Alliance Quality and fun.
My preference would be a third person shooter like Metal Gear. I think it has the most similarities to Joe in terms of futurism and modern and 60s era combat. The stories are great and the detail on characters, camoflague, and weapons are unparalleled in any other games. This would be a huge undertaking but I think the serious gameplay would be too advanced for the age group Hasbro would be marketing towards anyway. Anyway, I'd take any GI Joe incarnation in videogame form. |

I've given up hope on a halfway decent Joe game. Some think a COD style game would be awesome and I agree, but I doubt that will ever happen. It's already been done so many times with so many different titles, I doubt that hasbro will be able to bring anything to the table that already hasn't been done perfectly by COD. Maybe using the unreal engine for a WFC type of game would work? I dunno. I haven't heard any official talk about another Joe game in the works, but if anyone has any info on an up coming Joe game I'd love to hear it.
If anything, we can look forward to a game based off the new movie and we all know how those games end up.

there is no point of making a G.I. Joe game if you make it a FPS and have no significant interaction as the specific characters. characters are meaningless in FPS', so if you make one there is no need to base it on G.I. Joe. and making a FPS is the farthest thing from thinking outside the box.
