hey ya'll, even if you vote, if you don't make a post, the thread still get's pushed down.
Make this idea known, if you really want this book like i do, help keep the thread alive and at top so 'someone at Hasbro' may notice.

I'd also like to a book of animation models similar to the one released for THE TRANSFORMERS - IDW could handle that too.

I doubt we would ever see a book with one full page per art, but I could see a book with multiple images per page, e.g. a page or two with all the card art for Duke laid out to show the many variations of the character, then Snake Eyes, Scarlett, and then as you get to some of the characters with only one or two versions they would share pages with one another.
make the book about the art of the characters, not just about publishing the art, and I think Hasbro would be more hip to the idea. |

I voted yes, but only if it's vintage art. I am not a huge fan of the re-touched/homage art from the 25th line.
And this type of project was tried for Trasformers. Hasbro was on board at first but it all stalled when the person in charge couldn't get product out. They have mentioned in the past that is one of their licensees propose such a project it could get a green light.

I could see one doing a couple of volumes actually. Use all vintage artwork (we know they have many of the originals, we saw them last year ) You'd probably have to have the first book be a mixture of the most popular artwork from figures and vehicles, then if that's a big seller, you get a book full of just figures and just vehicles (or maybe you just keep up the mixture of both so it'll appeal to more people)
I think if done with artwork taking up the full page or 80% of the page and having a little blurb about the particular piece either from the artist or a designer or whoever giving some insight about the artwork (what inspired it, what could have been but was changed, etc...) and if the price is kept kinda low ($30-$50) you'd have a hit on your hands everytime. With the amount of artwork out there, you could probably do 3-5 good sized volumes of books just on the vintage artwork (not including the artwork used for puzzles, catalogs & internationally) |

Yeah, Scroll, I love your idea. I can't believe there isn't one already! I'd love to have it in an 8x10 or even 11x14 size, hardback coffee table-type book. I would think that, because it has to be limited in some scope, that they stick with just the ARAH art, although I wouldn't be opposed to later volumes with later art, even PoC stuff, which is awesome as well. I think that it would sell.
