Whatever happened to to gi Joe toy commercials. Like the ones we had back in the day...(80's & early 90's). I don't remember the last time I saw a Joe commercial especially one that made me want to go out and buy up some product. In fact the only toy commercials I do see on tv when I'm watching toons with my kids are girly toy commercials, baby doll commercials and other toys that are just plain terrible. Im not sure I've seen a commercial for transformers or star wars lately. Is hasbro dropping the ball or are they just too expensive to produce? Anyway, might help selling product and introducing Joe to new fans. This is Peter griffin and that really grinds my gears.

I've wondered the same thing. Why don't they advertise like they used to?
Same goes for Transformers. Other than one commercial for those shitty Power Core Combiners, I haven't seen any recent commercials for G.I.Joe or Transformers. |

Well if they aired commercials, that would mean they would have to actually follow up on retailers to stock their shelves. LOL

I have 3 boys - ages 7, 4 and 7 months. I watch a lot of kid TV, like Nick Jr., Disney Channel, and of course, the Hub. I see quite a few commercials for boys' toys, but they are usually Backugan(?), Nerf, and Cuponk. I think I've seen some TF commercials, but it's not for the TFs themselves, but some sort of off-shoot product. I've also seen some commercials for SW products like the remote control Millenium Falcon, and they have a commercial for the 30 day trial of some sort of SW Club that you can get a code for in the figures' packages.
I know that commercials cost money to make, but since Hasbro owns the Hub, you'd sorta think they would have some Joe product commercials on this channel. IDK. You would think that perhaps it would help Joe sales also. Maybe. Maybe not.

I've seen a star wars commercial that tries to be as great as the old one but failures. I miss those old commercials they were at times better than the show you were watching.

Which is probably why they have slowed down or stopped playing commercials for toys. LOL

They probably stand to loose more money that way. Spend the money to make a commercial to air on tv that most probably won't see because most people get their entertainment from the internet these days or fast forward through the commercials via tivo.
