Sorry to hear it's gone! You did some great stuff on there!! A lot of fun to grab something to snack on and a drink and click the bad stuff of the day away!

I really appreciate that people still think about the work I did. Finding out that the site disappeared was a huge disappointment to me. My host, which had auto-billing set up, sold to another company, who never reached out to me to let me know that it was expiring. Everything was lost, both the band and GI Joe page. Painful to say the least. To this day I keep an eye out for those old backups, hoping to recapture what was lost.
Thank you again. I’ve found a folder in my hard drive where I have saved all the pics from your Dio stories. They are not lost!! Maybe someone from Hiss Tank can contact me and host the pictures, and the stories, somewhere on here? |

That is the sad thing about the internet, one realizes that to keep everything, a lot of money is required, and sometimes not even that can save it, as enterprises go bankruptcy, etc.
I was hit when Imageshack decided to delete all pictures, it made me lose countless hours. Then, the biggest GI Joe forum in spanish language disappeared too, due to too much people frequenting the host, and the hosting people demanding an absurd amount of money (moreover, some problem prevented saving the data, and there was a LOT of data, reviews, diostories, catalogues, customs, etc). Much lost forever. Since then, I upload all images into Blogger (owned by Google), and post all relevant info on my blog too, such as diostories, etc. Everything can go down, but if google goes down, probably the internet will too :) . And anything I like I save it, as tomorrow you never now if you'll be able to access it.

If you want to save stuff for personal use, you can copy/paste text to notepad. You can use an online book convertor to put it in an epub or mobi format to use in an e-reader. Dio stories and pictures can be saved to a folder and put in cbr format like a comic book.
