Some amazing stuff here man!
Seems like with what you've done so far it wouldn't be hard to translate to translate your stuff to reality with the 3-D printer. I could be wrong about that, but I begin to wonder if this isnt the future of toymaking right here. |

once i get caught up on other things, i'll turn back towards this. My brother has a Thing-A-Matic 3d printer (more of a hobbyist grade) which is good for getting things roughed out and engineered before sending to a higher res printer and molder. I plan to get a few of these made, pull some silicone molds and start resin casting them myself in runs of maybe 1000 or so.

I have to wonder that as technology progresses, if it wont become cheaper to do stuff like this. The right marketing and you could give Hasbro a run for their money, or become the next home-grown startup that makes it big. |

that's exactly the thinking behind the hobbyist level printers. what they envision is that they will become just as common as an ink jet and whenever you need something, instead of going and buying it, you simply download it and print. if it ever reaches that point, designers could just sell designs for people to make themselves.
