Every Joe #319: Nightclaw the Panther
Yes, this IS a real GI Joe character. Nightclaw was one of the Microforce figurines. Since Nightclaw had zero media appearances, I don't know if it's a Cobra or Joe-aligned character. There have been many times in this project when I've made artwork of characters that I didn't like or wasn't familiar with, but learned to create/appreciate/like the characters more. Not here. You can probably tell that this is one where my disinterest in the character made it impossible for me to create a decent piece. That I don't like drawing animals doesn't help, either. When I look at this panther now, with it having been completed for over a year, I can see that I drew it rather chubby. Sure, I could have simply done some quick Photoshop adjustments and made Nightclaw look not-fat. Nah. |

Nice deep track, buddy. I'm sure nobody will be familiar enough (or at all) with this character to have an opinion on whether the chubbiness suits him or not, so it's entirely in line with your prerogative as an artist.

Wow. Not sure I would've gone with this one. I think of the animals, I would've just done the animal companions like Timber, Freedom, Polly, Max, Order, Junkyard et al that came with a figure and had a name.
Have you/Are you doing the Ghost Ninja, Thunder Ninja etc from that line too? |

Sounds like you should make a G.I.joe team Panther-microforce team, just some idea-tips that came to mind create a custom figure with claw scratches on the chest and on the helmet for a custom Nightclaw..action figure.

Have you/Are you doing the Ghost Ninja, Thunder Ninja etc from that line too? As far as the Micro Force figures, I will get to all of them, but I've already made a few... |
