A well received 1986 character, this is Sci-Fi. Despite the neon green of the uniform, the figure was well received. The design and color still works somehow, and I fought the urge to make it olive instead of lime.

"Soldier, we'll give you a shiny suit and a leftover helmet from a bad deal with OCP. You won't be as cool as Flash, but we'll give you a code name that makes you sound cooler."
I like this one. Would've made a cool foil card/sticker. |

Great looking piece, really nailed his look. And the laser rifle is a very cool design, excellent job buddy!

It's crazy how much the zeitgeist of an era pops up in toys. My guess is that Sci-Fi's helmet was developed by Hasbro completely unaware that Orion was developing a similar design for Robocop's head. |

Glad you like the rifle. I didn't even try to go for the toy's rifle, just threw down some lines until it looked science fictionish enough to be a laser rifle. |

Could be! Both were produced in 1986. Not sure if Robo existed in illustrated form prior to the film, but it's a logical concept that the helmet/visor Flash uses would progress into something sleeker looking.

YouTube's Analog Toys and/or RetroBlasting (maybe Articulated Points, too) have talked about how Hasbro was working on reviving GI Joe in 1:18 scale the same time Palitoy was doing the same w Action man. Neither team knew that the other was working on a parallel project until they were released. It's hard to remember a pre-internet time.
