Mmm... I don't like too much "chunky", or cartoony figures. In TMNT; or other cartoons maybe yes, but in GI Joe Style, my maximum is at Fortnite; Fortnite figures are cartoony and chunky while nice at the same time.
Also, I have a severe dislike of in-between figures of 3.75 to 6 inches. While they would be much better than combat heroes, I wouldn't be interested by them. In my opinion, same articulations, but make them compatible with 3.75 Joes. So, maybe the BAT can be 4", but a normal figure like Recondo should be 3.75. The feet on Zanzibar and Recondo look too big. On the other hand, Croc Master looks good, as it fits that is a bit simiesque. The BAT could do too.

I'm just riffing on some ideas, just putting them out there ;) I always get frustrated by small feet. Even when proportioned realistically, they tend to be too small to support a geared-up figure. In my experience.

This comparison seemed apropos
One thing I wanted was to make Croc Master more of a monster, than just a big guy in a alligator costume. He's a jacked weirdo at the very least.

Mattel has been hitting it out the park with MOTU Origins by keeping the vintage aesthetic, while adding a bit more articulation and ditching the rubber bands.

Then I felt that, it would be nice to see some actual sculpt/design updating too, somewhere down the line.

The earlier design look I was working on, as direct O-Ring updates, were these:

This was the POA on those figures. I preferred a ball-joint waist but I said O-Ring just as a touchstone with the vintage O-Rings, since those were a direct precursor
