Hasbro slopped this figure together out of various ROC parts in 2010. It's not bad, but feels very unneccesary.
Wait, I got that wrong. Hasbro slopped out Elite Viper in 2009, and re-released it as Street Viper in 2010. Oh, Hasbro. Yes, you'll see it again flipped and recolored slightly as Elite Viper in the future, but enjoy the artwork as is for Street Viper! Last edited by Clockwise; 08-27-2021 at 12:35 AM.. |

Thanks!
2009 was the bookend year to my toy collection. A pretty decent time to stop collecting. I've picked up a few newer figures here and there, particularly first-time characters. The ROC are a mixed bag. Great sculpts, but not necessarily the best representations of characters, like Dr. Who as Slender Destro. The Duke figures, though, are compatible with previous Dukes. Then there are characters like Street Viper/Elite Viper, that don't register as good or bad. They just are. Even if I'm indifferent on a character/figure, I still try to do the best artistic interpretation that I can. |

Really cool design on this one. Love the helmet, then you always do a great job with the accessories, really liking his pistol.
My ROC guys are all sorted of scattered across my shelves, blue fatigue Joe’s are together but all of the Vipers and stuff were just thrown wherever they looked cool. Have to go through them at some point and see what I missed because I’m not sure if I have this Viper or not. I do like the line though, definitely one that grew on me over the years, probably helped that I enjoyed the game too so it allowed me to appreciate some of the non-movie characters a bit.

Thanks.
I'm not a gamer, so I totally missed that aspect of it. Did it take the sting out of the movie, and were there any game-exclusive characters that didn't get figures? |

Haha, it did actually, like the film, the game isn’t great but it’s a fun Joe diversion to throw on when you want something Joe but not something you’ve seen or played a ton over the years.
Umm, off the top of my head, I think Backblast is the only guy in the game who is playable that we didn’t get a figure for. Then I know guys like Wild Bill were in the game as non playable characters, just not sure if the one that came with the green copter is supposed to be the game version.
