From 2000, this is Whiteout. The figure was another of Hasbro's lazy head-to-toe repaint of Snow Job. To make Whiteout his own character, I've removed the jacket's hood and full beard, and added glasses and stubble. The uniform is still the same as Snow Job, which makes sense to a point, but it doesn't look exactly like Snow Job now.
And, after ranting about Hasbro being lazy with a repaint figure, I'm being a hypocrite. Here is a re-do of my Baroness entries for the Every Joe Project. The artwork is a recolor and flip of the artwork I created for Dr. Biggles-Jones, which will post sometime down the road. I scaled down the mouth and added the glasses, but otherwise it's just a recolor. I hadn't really found my style and approach yet when I did my original Baroness, so this is an attempt to adjust that to some extent. Last edited by Clockwise; 06-29-2021 at 09:51 PM.. |

I didn’t realize they did an o-ring Snow Job repaint for the first Whiteout. Just knew about the 2010 version which actually matches pretty closely to the changes you made here. Like hearing the thought process of taking him from the Snow Job repaint to something unique. His camo, beard and the heat from his drink all look really awesome. Gave him a cool look that is distinct as a new character.
Great job on the Baroness redo as well! Her uniform looks great with all of the line work and the pattern on the inside of the jacket is phenomenal! Extra effort there really put her over the top.

Thanks.
I'm sure I saw the 25A style Whiteout and pulled on the camouflage patterning, so that had to be an influence, too. Glad you like them. The Baroness artwork really doesn't line up with any existing versions of her, but the design of Dr. Biggles-Jones was close enough with some tweaks that I wanted to see how it looked. The red on the inside of the coat was something done on GI Joe Renegades from almost a decade ago, and that always looked good. |
