1991 was a mixed bag for the Joe line. The Desert Scorpions were a long overdue army builder for Cobra. A recolor of the Cobra Soldier really could have filled the slot, but an all new figure with a great design was released.
The design didn't need much tweaking. A few more pouches added and the leotard look removed, and Desert Scorpion is good to go. Last edited by Clockwise; 04-16-2021 at 04:59 PM.. |

Thanks.
I regret not drawing the oversized scorpion. There's a NS figure that also came with a big ass scorpion, but it was a robot. I'll make up for it then. |

He’s badass! Always loved the figure growing up and you captured everything that made him look so cool back in the day.
Line work is fantastic as always, then love the backdrop, reminds me of the desert level in the NES game. Really cool how you gave him like the eye outline in his goggles. Always cool to see these little touches you come up with to add personality to your drawings.

How are both Evy & Desert Scorpion number 125?

Thanks!
As for the numbering, I can only blame my stupidity. I've adjusted the numbering for today's new post, so thanks for catching the mistake. |
