Hope you get everything back. If he states it is new and unopened then that's what you should get. And he admits to opening it so you should get a full refund. It's pretty simple.

in my 1000 or so ebay history i have had i think 2 times where something was actually totally off which is the sellers fault and both times they wanted me to mail it back for a refund minus the shipping. i dont know that pisses me off, they want to deduct the shipping price plus have me pay to ship it back to them for a mistake that they made.

I just want to point out that when I opened mine right where the boosters are there are gouges in the cardboard. Not enough to go through.

Had a seller, drink_booze, cancel my winning bid after I paid and I had all positive feedback. All because I didn't see his disclaimer about nobody under 30 feedback buried in his terms

After you paid? LOL that's not the point of restricting bidders, haha, it's to prevent you wasting his time by NOT paying. Plus you can setup your auctions to prevent that from the start, but to do all that after you paid is just dumb, unless he's using that as an excuse to back out of a low ending auction.
