So far with 2 reports which the eBay reps volunteered to file over the phone against the seller, less than impressed with the seller in both cases - so clearly eBay disagrees with your assessment of how moot my complaint is. Like I said, get back to me when you either have an understanding of the law or ethics, whichever deficiency applies in this case.

When members in the US posting on this thread look at the facts and stop the textbook "all foreign buyers who get dudded on ebay are scum" bad ebayer behaviour and look at the facts, then sure.

It may be a breach of contract, but other than an ebay resolution which would probably be some kind of minor infraction. They still can't force him to sell it to you other than ban his account which they probably won't do for something like this. Then what? Are you seriously going to sue him from Australia and fly over to the US for the court date. Even then you would simply get your money back.
That's why most people are saying let it go dude. |

That's why most people are saying let it go dude. Wasn't there a Simpson's episode about that? Didn't it all start with how the water flowed down a toilet in the Southern Hemisphere? |

That's why most people are saying let it go dude. After all, that is why this thread exists, is it not? Yet it would seem that in the case of multiple US sellers who are members here, they've decided that things like ethics, accountability, legalities and xenophobia shouldn't be obstacles to them blindly defending the seller. EDIT: Considering the posting of the second post, which amounted to "interesting development- the guy threatened me for leaving neg feedback and here's the proof", or defending myself when people blindly sided with the seller, not "letting things go". Like I said, when people stop blindly defending the seller and actually look at the facts, then I'll happily regard this as a warning that has been given. Ok, so this is the point that I step in with a reality check. The point of this thread is to point out bad e-bay sellers/buyers. If somebody has problem with a seller/buyer or has a bad deal then they report it here to give other members a heads up. From that point forward it is up to the members to choose what they wish to do with said information. The options are as follows
A) Take advice to heart and follow it B) Ignore advice and deal with e-bay member. The point of this thread is not for people to judge or come in here to start flame wars or to fight because you disagree with one side or other of the deal. Pretty much making a long story short, there are some people that need to drop it and move along.
