Just a heads-up. I know some people have bought from Alvintoys/Hitmantoys on and off eBay with success, but I've got a problem now. If he refunds me, I'll change my opinion. I messaged him asking if he had any Resolute AVs (when he had the Joe singles up). He said he had 2 of them and it would be $27.96 shipped.

He sent me an invoice for the items (marked as a service though). I sent payment on the 20th and it cleared. He messaged me today saying he realized that he didn't have them and not to pay. I paid 2 days ago! I told he that and he needs to refund me the money. If he doesn't refund me am I screwed because it was outside eBay?

Not neccessarily screwed because the invoice was sent through paypal . You can contact them to help you resolve the issue.

trekkid96(bought, never paid, complained that he didn't receive item. tried to file a complaint with PayPal, who kindly reminded him that you have to pay before you can expect items. He has been harassing me at my personal e-mail since.)

edit* Fast-Draw, I hope you get everything worked out with Alvintoy, I am one of the Tankers who's had great success with him. If he screws you over, I'll def change my opinion, but I got some DCUC figs from him at a great price and they got here in less than 2 weeks. Just my $.02. Keep us posted if he comes through.

I'm sure it will be fine. It just worried me because I paid 2 days ago and he/she told me not to pay. Shouldn't they know that I paid? They already had me email address. The thing that annoys me most is that this all happened over the course of a 5-6 days so there's no reason for something like this to happen in mind.

I messaged asking if they had them. The next day they said yes and how many? I said 1 - 2. The next day they said they had two and asked for my email to send an invoice. I did. Two days later I got the invoice and paid. Two days after that they said they didn't have them and not to pay. I understand shit happens, but it just makes me think they sold them to someone else for more or something. It wasn't like it all happened before they checked to see. They checked and said yes, we have them. I don't get it.

OK, all set. Alvintoy/Hitmantoys sent me the refund. It's all good. I'll probably think twice about doing deals outside of eBay again, but I'll buy from him if he has something I want on eBay. I'm just disappointed that he didn't have the items.

Seems like a nice guy, responds quickly, but is a liar. We originally agreed on $29.99 to ship an item priority international with tracking. Instead, he shipped it First Class at $5.01. When approached about the vast difference, he changed his story three times. Lie 1) Post office said it would be more than what he charged, so he went with cheaper option. The size of the box was was the same as Priority International medium flat rate box for $26.95. Less than what we agreed on. Lie 2) Said the shipping cost was to shore up the cost of the figures. No, it's not. Bidding determines current market value. Not shipping. Lie 3) He had to cover costs of gas, time hunting, etc. I believe this is a violation of Ebay shipping policies to claim that.

Basically, he is annoyed the bid was low, so decided to cover it with shipping fees.

I've got 1 bad deal (for right now) with a fellow tanker; Cobrasusedcars. I paid him for a polar shark, and 2 SDCC MU figures (Cap and Namor) almost a month ago, and still haven't gotten anything from him. I sent him a PM yesterday/the day before, so I'm giving him til next week, then bad feedback, at least (but I do want to give him a fair chance to prove I'm not getting stiffed).

Edit; as of today (9/16) I STILL have yet to get anything from Cobrasusedcars. Long story short, he offered me a replace on the shark and refund on the figs, for removal of the negative I put on his feedback. I did, and never got anything from him, so last week I put it back to negative. Fair warning, I'm not the only one who's being screwed right now by him, so don't do anything with him unless he sends first.
