Yes, report him. And be sure to cut and paste what he worte to you with the complaint. Ebay will not buy that excuse. He had time to catch it be the auction ended. Also, I've heard the "Hospital" excuse more than once by sellers, and I don't believe most of them.

Report him. There's no way on God's green earth that a week went by and he didn't notice what the price was. Better yet, there's no way that it's his "wifes fault", yet his first sentence states that HE thought he put it up for more money....I love how many excuses he threw in to the mix:

1. Wife's fault
2. Hospital stay
3. Rabid Llamas ate his interwebs connection


I mean, c'mon, wtf...report his ass. You won fair & square, and it's a legal binding contract. I know that seems a little hard core, but you know what? eBay is full of whiners that want things their way rather than the RIGHT way.

I reported it as "an offer to buy or sell outside of ebay," since that's essentially what it was; guy gets 20 more bucks without ebay knowing. I still just want a refund, but this seller needs to be reported, CIAD, you're right.

I checked this thing out. He is also price gouging on shipping insurance. If he sends this priority mail insurance would only be $1.65, not $20. I really hope you report this clown.

LMAO @ $20 insurance. That's not only price gouging, if someone actually paid/pays him $20 for Postal Insurance and he accepts it, that's Postal Fraud.

And hey, even if it's a true story (and it could be), he still has a contract to honour. If a retail store screws up and puts the wrong sticker on something, they will almost always honour that price; his agent made an error and he'll have to take that up with his wife.

Yes, I do too...but under the circumstances, where one is attempting to charge $20 for shipping, $20 for insurance and another $49.99 for an item...there is nothing but malicious intent present.
