Damn that is very high, even a flat-rate box would be like $10 and that's plenty big to hold a pair of turtles.

Well, as a seller, I would assume the responsibility for the mistake, especially if I made it TWICE on the same transaction. I have had buyers who win items and immediately pay especially on combined items and don't give me a chance to send the combined shipping invoice but if I make the mistake in the invoice I send out then I will honor it.
As a buyer, I would honor the invoice that was sent to me TWICE buy the seller and pay what I am obligated to pay. Since you did that, I would wait to see if she sends the items or wants to cancel the transaction. As far as I am concerned, you didn't do anything wrong and I have done my share of selling and buying.

She's "on the phone with eBay" trying to figure out how to handle it. She claims she's never combined shipping before and might have made a mistake...
Still not my problem?

I would ask her how she is shipping the items (priority, first class, parcel post) because to me that $13 shipping seems high for 2 TMNT figures. Do a search on USPS.com from her zip to yours and what you think that approximate weight of the items would be and see what they tell you on the shipping. Then tell her that is what you will pay when she tells you what kind of shipping service.

Parcel post (economy, in her words) would be 5.70.

That total was IF the item weighed 2 lbs. I highly doubt that it does.
