At least it would be in good hands. I still wonder what happened to the train, and if the person that won is ever going to show us some pics....
I'm still holding out hope, and a good chunk of my savings that some rare South American plastic comes up this year. We're seen 2 of the 3 so far. PDD. CHECK Rare Prototype. CHECK Carded Argen 7....... still waiting.

A lot of people will talk all day about what they WOULD do; this piece wont sell at that price. More than likely whoever forks over that kind of jack will look to have it graded. Rare or not, this would receive a low grade due to the condition of the card and bubble. AFA might not even grade this at all, due to the bubble separation. Not trying to be negative or an A-hole...just my opinion.

i think it's absolutely mad for anyone to pay that kind of money for an action figure.
even if i had the money i would not pull the trigger. that's just crazy. |

Word has it that Brian Savage of Master Collector bought it. So don't hold your breath that you'll ever see it in any public forum again.

pretty much every boxed PDD is in less than amazing condition.
this is a great price for this.

I bet the figure itself would fetch close to the starting price loose. It would almost be worth it to grade the figure itself and try to auction it. None the less, still a cool piece especially since they were put out by mistake. You almost have a better chance seeing a unicorn drinking out of a toilet than finding one of these originally. |

$2500 seems cheap for this, am I wrong? I thought this was THE figure to own?

I hope the buyer doesn't have the bubble come completely off during shipping. Even if safely packed, if the box is dropped hard enough the weak glue might loosen even more on the sides and top. I seem to recall this happening several years ago and being discussed on one of the forums.
