I found a bunch of Power Rangers at a yard sale and put them up for auction. Now I'm getting several requests from buyers asking me if I would make the listings "buy it now" or to end the auction and sell it to them. If I wanted to make it buy it now I would have done so in the first place. I find it annoying that these people are asking me to do this. I know I've never asked a seller to do this for me or would expect anyone to. I also can not think of a way to respond with out sounding like a jerk.
Does anyone else have this problem when selling on ebay? |

I would not be afraid to consider their Buy It Now offers, sometimes you can get more that way over what you would at auction.
Perfect example, just this week I offered someone $750 for an item....they did not respond and I bought my item from another seller. Then...that seller contacted me saying that they would accept my $750 because the auction ended at $400 under their reserve price. Too bad for them I already bought one. Auctions pretty much suck these days, buy it now is the only way to go...I always 100% of the time get more in my store with buy it now than an item at auction. Just my two cents my friend : )

Yeah. I was selling a lot of Sting action figures auction style for a friend of mine last week when I get a message from a potential buyer asking what I would be willing to sell the lot for. I'm thinking, "It's an auction...the ending of it determines the price!" It is very difficult to answer these sorts of questions!

I've asked to end auctions early by offering good deals. Sometimes it worked, others not so much. I haggle. It's a cog of the secondary market. You haggle to get a good price and get what you want for less or for better than it may end up being.
Nothing wrong with that. As a seller, I have dealt with it also... Like the 'Best Offer' function. I use it on the BIN auctions and get some pretty terrible - read insulting - offers on items I have sold or were selling. Comes witht he territory. Nothing to get worked up over. Non-paying buyers on the other hand... >:(

That ain't shit. Listen to the offers. Damn maybe they need them quick. I know I've asked once for Desert Zartan pair and the guy said no, I got hooked up by Gyre Viper and still won the auction at half the price I would have offered. I needed the hoods for customs.

Here you go.
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Deluxe Megazord - eBay (item 170524856905 end time Aug-15-10 18:03:14 PDT) Thanks for the tips guys. I don't sell on the bay very often and I've actually never used the buy it now option. Plus I wasn't really sure what these were worth. I just checked out some completed listings for them and went from there. |

All of these were in two big cardboard boxes all mixed up. I had no clue how to put all of these together and my son never had any of them since they were before his time. It took me forever to figure out how to make the Zords!
I did manage to cherry pick out all of the Transformers for myself. Even found a good condition G1 Silverbolt buried in amongst them. |
