We have Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Toy Story, Prince of Persia but never had any GI Joe legos (to my knowledge).
I would be all over this if it ever happened ... imagine the possibilities. Lego Terror Drome, Lego SNAKE Armors, etc

I'd love it to.
I think it has to do with Lego wanting to stay away from pure military themes.

Wasn't there a "Build to Rule" line of Joes using something similar to Legos? I don't know for sure because it was after my time, but I recall seeing something like that at Target.

I think built to rule put a damper on that happening. Though I would like a Lego GI Joe Video game!

Lego Video Game = epic win
BTR was alright. Could attach lego pieces to the bodies. And the vehicles were changeable and had a couple "pre-built" styles. Hollowpoint's only appearance was as a BTR figure.

I heard Lego will not and will never make GI Joe Lego's because they don't support war, death and kill. Something like that.

There's a heck of a lot of war, death, and kill in the Star Wars movies. I guess it all depends on the money involved.

A lot of cool toy lines would have translated great into Lego. G.I. Joe would really be great. I would think a bunch of Lego Crimson Guard would look really cool. Those along with the Masters of the Universe. I can really imagine a cool looking Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain. Could you imagine a large playset like the $400.00 Lego Death Star, but as a huge Castle Grayskull playset? Lot's of potential with Lego.

What a great idea! Here you go. I'll be back in three weeks to see how it turned out.

In my opinion, BTR were the best building blocks after Legos.
