Hi guys,
I recently decided to try my hand at selling stuff on Ebay, in fact I made, and shipped my first sale today. The problem is I sold an item the week before last, and the buyer hassent paid up yet, I've tried contacting him a couple times now and nothing. He has 100% feedback so I dont know what the deal is, or how long I should wait to re - post, its been over 10 days now. How long will you guys wait for payment before making an issue out of it? Also I have some vintage Joe vehicals coming this week so stay tuned. Thanks for any haelp guys, It is much appreciated. -Dan |

I had this problem too, I waited longer than I should have, 20 days after the auction ended and then I made a case about it and it was a fiasco.. in the end he paid up.. but my suggestion to you is give the buyer 10 days after the close of the auction to pay.
Email him and let him know that if payment is not received by the 10th day then you will be filing a Non Paid Item Claim with ebay.

Resend the invoice. Wait two days. File a non-payment claim. Relist or 2nd chance offer to next highest bidder.

After 7 days I resend the invoice, after 14 I file the EBay dispute to prompt a response...usually they come forward then and everything goes really smoothly. Remember that this isn't their full time gig either, so they don't prioritize an invoice for something non-essential and sometimes forget about it.

I don't know if this applies to everybody, but I have noticed lately that eBay automatically re-sends the invoice/payment reminder after 4 days and on your seller dashboard you have the option to open a non-paying dispute at the same time.
I would wait 10 days at the latest, unless the person has contacted you and told you they would be paying on a certain date. File the claim, sometimes that works and they paid to avoid a non-payment strike to their account. But if they don't respond to that, go ahead and close out the case, get your final value fee credited back and move on.
