charging sellers pre and post transaction comes along with them knowing that they're the only game in town that matters. In short, they're unfair because they can be. This is how they want it. From their perspective, they don't need to be fixed. Without making things too sociological, there are far more buyers than there are sellers in this world. And, as it stands now, eBay and it's sister Paypal are happy and safe brands that've worked their way into the hearts and minds of damned near every would be 'buyer' w/ an internet connection... That's the main reason sellers are drawn to ebay to begin with. The only way to enact a change ebay doesn't want to make is to force them to make it by taking away their, 'happy and safe' appeal to the 'average joe' masses. The only way to do this that comes to mind off-hand is to get together with a bunch of other pissed off sellers on public forums shouting something to the effect of : "Sellers no longer safe on eBay. Amidst ass-load of ripped off consumers, we're moving our stores elsewhere. E giants double-dip ethics are too abysmal to advocate the great deals they advertise to people on TV. The public should no longer be lied to. They're better off going to online Mom and Pops that needn't worry about covering ebay's ever increasing and astronomical prices for sellers." After you fill in your blanks and paste your argument everywhere with things like blogspot, myspace, facebook, twitter and etc. It shouldn't take long before ebay starts to notice. With enough steam behind it, a data table showing the benefits allocated to price structure when ebay fees don't have to be factored in and a couple quotes from people that left ebay as buyers AND sellers successfully...You could realistically expect ebay to make positive changes for sellers over night. Barring a scenario similar to the one above, I don't see them doing it voluntarily. Most everyone with anything to sell is already selling with them, amazon marketplace or both.

They should lift the ban on selling body parts and unwashed clothing.
