he was able to do it before (most sold with a buy it now for $15-17) why not do it again, if people are willing to pay for it, why not?
It is the same thing with con exclusives, everyone knows they will be cheaper when a couple months pass by and ebay is loaded with them, but that doesn't stop the "impatient" people that want them first. |

yeah - the figures look great. but i can wait to buy them at retail price. the thing with stuff like this, is that the price at release gets so inflated because they're hot - like with the iphone, nintendo wii and ps3. when i was into comic books, and image first came out, all of those #1/cover variant/foil-whatever ploy the used to repackage the same story flew off the stands. almost 20 years later and they're still not worth much more, discounting a few exceptions. i have a feeling these will be on ebay for YEARS to come. that's where i'll find my rescue doc.

This, and peoples foolish addiction to buying ridiculously overpriced goods on ebay, is why we don't see 25th Anniversary items at retail. Rather than "nice" I would actually say it is sad, and worse still is the fact that some of you have probably already bid on these items. Don't feed the buzzards living off the scraps of society.
I said it's nice "to see" not "to buy", even though it's the right of me and you to do so, if your wallet allows it and you want it bad enough to pay more to get them early. This auction it's not mine, my intention was to show everybody around here that these itens are close to hit retail or been shipped for those who pre-ordered it. I don't like to depend on "buzzards" like that to buy my figures, not at all, I am from Brazil and I depend on a friend in Miami to buy me the new joes... Guess what? She nevers find anything anywhere for quite sometime ... Just cool out and enjoy the pictures (as I guess you already did), or not, your choice. Last edited by Letal; 03-07-2008 at 05:53 PM.. |

Yeah...
If you want to rant about the prices, the guys selling for, fine, but in the end, the best way to show people like that is to NOT bid on the stuff, and play the waiting game...pretty much the same thing with the '03 Cobra Infantry Set...and the Crimson (Shadow) Guard Sets...and the Viper 6-Pack...and so on, and so on... I dunno, to me these guys are okay, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of Cobra Soldier customs Thanks for the pix! |

Seriously! You guys need to calm day with all the whining about people selling stuff for a profit on ebay. With the economy in the shape it is in I applaud anyone who can squeeze a few extra bucks out of the market. I've had to lay 2 of my employees off in the past 2 months and these guys have families to feed. I;ve had to sell off a big chunk of my collection just to pay a few bills and stay afloat. It is absolutely infantile to sit here and throw stones and whine about somebody making a profit off of anything with the way things are going lately. Capitalism is what are economy is based on so get used to it.
Seriously man, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves! |

What about all the people(on this board) that bought Legions packs for $6.48 and sold them broken up for a handsome profit. Is that Ok because they say they are doing it for the collecting community ?
