Ebay bidding scam on Vintage Joes?

Is it just me, or is this guy...
eBay My World - johnelway
..got something odd going on with all their vintage Joe stuff.

It seems all the items adds starting with a number (Ex. #57, #156, etc...) has a hefty amount of bidders with high dollar amounts.

??

Just an observation. What do you think?

#'s could be the order that he listed them in.

The items he/she is selling typically demand that price.

I doubt it's a scam. Look at his seller feedback. You don't get 100% positive with over 19 thousand transactions by scamming people.

Well.. it does look odd.. I doubt its a scam except he may have several accounts he is using to "fluff" up the price and create a Bidding War on his own.

Thanks...thats kinda what I was thinking but BigDaddyB pointed his rating out. It just looked odd initially.

I'm pretty cynical by nature, so I often suspect that of many Ebay sellers, especially when it's on an item that isn't exactly a popular/hot item at the moment that I'm bidding on--then it suddenly spikes to some ridiculous price. Maybe I'm wrong to assume such practices, but that's just how I roll.

Why wouldn't a seller do that?

If you look at the bidders...all of them have over 300+ feedback.

Again, it's not surprising at all. The guy is selling a lot of rare, high ticket items.

When I see something like this my thoughts are usually how did they build such a rare collection of mint figures and why sell it off?
