Im not sure if this is the right place to post this,so my apologies in advance if its not
I ordered a couple of "moc case fresh" figures off ebay a couple of weeks ago & they just arrived today. Just 1 minor problem, they had been packed into a box far smaller in width so had been folded to fit. The card is now creased and bent right up the middle and ugly as hell. Also the box was fairly lightweight and has been slightly crushed during shipping which has added more damage to the Joe's cards. I purchased these for my moc collection so they are worthless to me now. My question is,is it my fault because I never said anything about being a collector and just assumed they would be packaged well, or am I right in thinking this is a pretty p*ss-poor way to ship anything?? Big thanks to anyone that can advise me on this |

If the words "moc case fresh" were used in the listing, then that is what you should have recieved. Do not accept otherwise.

What BDB said. They tried to skimp on shipping then they have to pay the piper.

unfortunately case-fresh is usually just to make you feel confident about your purchase and MOC just means (to half the sellers out there) that the figure is mint. MINT on card. not Mint on Mint Card... which if you google it...
most "what does MOC mean" is very specific about it meaning MINT CARD as well as (and you'd think obviously) MINT FIGURE... cuz... itz... on a card. IF you take it up with the seller they will probably tell you the same thing. THAT being said... you can always leave negative feedback (although depending on where you got it from they can have it deleted). so in that case you should just go around flaming them on every forum. hahahaha. no not really but yes go ahead. best you can do is give everyone a head's up about that seller once you decide where you stand on the issue. NOW... if itz on ebay... you can use that to your advantage... cuz if it doesn't meet the description ... you can open a case against him easy. ebay doesn't know what MOC is. heh. so they'll see MINT and they'll see CASE FRESH and it'll prolly work in your favor. it also depends what you bought. if itz vintage... take a hammer to the seller. if itz new it could easily be out of their control and maybe you should just kindly contact them.

if the auction listing description does not match what you received...
then you are within your rights to dispute the transaction for sure!

Being an e-bay buyer I will say that if the item was listed as one way and shipped as another and damaged in transit then I would totally send it back and leave negative feedback. They should know better than that.

I wouldn't give neg feedback as long as you get a replacement or get to return them, unless the seller is an asshole. The seller can file a claim with USPS if he or she insured it, but wouldn't likely do so unless you returned the items. There's really no telling at this point what condition they were in when shipped. Also, I've seen cases opened in a WM where the cards were heavily creased down the middle and those technically were MOC and Case Fresh.

Thanks for the responses,im hoping for a partial refund at least as a simple "return & replace" would be a drama,I live in New Zealand and got them sent from the States...it would cost me $20ish nzd just to send these back :(
Also its only a Modern era TF Duke & norm Duke,so we're not talking a whole lot of $ worth of product. I havent heard back from the seller yet,but its still early days Just wanted to hear the general opinion. |
