I'm curious if anyone else here has had any recent orders from ebay sellers in China that are taking a long time to get here. I've ordered before from a seller in Beijing; my stuff got here in about 2 weeks and the tracking was consistent from the day it shipped through all the steps of getting on the airplane, then from JFK to my house. I have three orders currently that have been stuck at "departure export customs" for a while now, and one of those three is even a week past the expected delivery date. The two sellers I bought from are supposedly good to go per members on this site, and their feedback says they ship fast. I know some people have had goods in general from China arrive months later, so I don't blame these sellers for how China Post operates, but again I'm curious if it's just my orders or if anyone has been waiting for a bit too.

I dunno what the deal was in my case. Maybe it was all a planned long-term scam, but it seems silly to spend a few years building up a reputation just to suddenly turn scammer. Turns out they scam by either providing tracking numbers unrelated to your item or sending to a flawed address so the item is eventually returned to them. I live in the West, but one item entered the U.S. in Miami and just sat there forever, so the location it enters the country could be a clue to an issue. I dunno... Anyway, my advice is to watch their feedback and play it by ear. Trust your gut, it'll tell you when something's not kosher. Last edited by SmokeBellew; 04-15-2017 at 12:28 PM.. |

Appreciate the feedback. The one that I've been waiting for 5 weeks now is from Toyssir898, if it means anything. It was the feedback on here that convinced me to go ahead and order. So far communication has been good, the fault is with China Post (I think), but considering it's been 5 weeks, I don't know how much longer I should really wait before I wasted over $100. I can't even tell if it's made it to US customs yet and they're to blame.

Generally speaking, you'll know it's in the U.S. when the tracking says it is. I had a recent one sit on "Pre-shipment" in China for 2 weeks before suddenly changing status to show it was in L.A. Usually, once it's in the U.S. things move quickly...if everything's ok, that is. If it isn't, it'll sit there at the ISC in whatever U.S. city forever.
I was just wondering if anyone else has the same experience currently or if my case is exceptional. Feedback on ebay and here on HissTank for China sales always say they had fast shipping, and my current case doesn't jive. |

That's what has me concerned. I'm limited in my China buying experience, but the first one constantly updated and got here in two weeks. This order has been in pre-shipment or departure export customs (depends on which tracking site I use) for over a month now with zero movement.
