Hi Hisstank!
So I recently bought a Takara Cobra Commander on card from ebay. The auction pictures weren't super clear so I had asked the seller for additional pictures which he provided, and noticed the leg appeared to have some minor discoloration but it still wasnt clear in the picture. So I asked directly if there was any discoloration or elbow cracks and seller replied "no discoloration, no cracks." Now fast forward and I received the figure and opemed it yesterday and it has both discoloration on the leg, albeit a minor shade, and an elbow crack. I dont normally have issues with ebay but when I asked the seller today why he said it didnt have these issues when it did, he turned hostile. I would have been willing to accept some reimbursement but he replied with a rather rude email and insited it didnt have these issues. If I hadnt asked directly on these two specific questions and been given an answer that was totally untrue I would just chalk it up to a bad deal and move on. But with seller having blatantly gien me untrue answers on top of not being reasonable via ebay messages, Im inclined to file a dispute. I know it's just ebay drama but thiught I would get a third party (s) input. Thanks! |

Man, I could go on and on about the ones who sent shit and either didn't even bother to reply (because they knew they sent shit) or were overly defensive/hostile (also because they knew they sent shit). It sucks. There are a lot of insane sellers out there with the social skills of crack-addled monkeys. Anyway, my advice, follow your inclination and hand it over to Paypal. Let them handle it. The truth is, and the seller ought to know this, Paypal doesn't give much of a shit about investigating to determine the truth. They pretty much seem to follow the old rule of the customer always being right. So, chances are good you'll get a refund...whether or not the seller agrees to take the item back. |

It seems you already tried to resolve the issue directly with the buyer with out success. You can file a claim with eBay at the resolution center and try to get a refund. The problem I see is that you opened the item. If the figure was MISB The seller will argue that point with eBay. Best of luck

Thanks guys for the input. I just meant that I opened the shipping package, not the figure itself.
