Good for him. You're going to pay the same price either way, so why the hell do any of you care? I wouldn't want to pay their stupid friggin fees either.
I think it's comical that people actually tattletale on others like that. I mean, get a life. So now the auction is fixed and WOW! Same freaking price! What did you really accomplish other than screwing a dude out of a few extra bucks? (and that's a question for everyone not just the quoted party) Lame. Yeah. I don't get it. Everybody complains about eBay and their ridiculous fees and then when we see a fellow collector trying to save a few bucks, we go crying to eBay like we're some kind of secret police. What's the point? I don't think eBay's giving you a percentage of the commission they collect.

how do you know? you don't know how high the final auction price will go plus reasonable shipping versus final price with inflated shipping, so you can't make that assertion. it's a risk either way. with reasonable shipping people may be inclined to bid that may not have versus the inflated shipping and you could end up paying more.

I will agree with your last point about getting more people to bid with un-inflated shipping costs. Outrageous shipping is what keeps me from bidding on most items there. And I don't understand why people are reporting him either or even have the desire to. I say good for him for trying to stick it to evilbay. Edit: And looks like others are doing it too, found this within minutes of posting this: http://cgi.ebay.com/GI-JOE-25TH-ANNI...%3D4%26ps%3D33
