I am going to be putting up carded POC Low Light and Sci-Fi on eBay. I haven't shipped carded figures before, so I was just wondering if anyone has suggestions so that i can maintain the quality of the cards. Thanks!

I'd recommend cutting a piece of lightweight cardboard (or using a comic book backer) so that the figure's card doesn't bend and then wrap the figure and the backer in bubble wrap.

i think recommended cardboard backing behind the card is a good idea. if you laid the carded figure and the backing together in a plastic bag and gently wrapped them so they don't separate in the box, then lay them down on some peanuts or more bubble wrap and add peanuts or bubble wrap around them carefully so it won't move in shipment.
try to allow for no movement in the box by filling it gently with packaging materials use cardboard support for the card. hope that helps.

If I sell one figure to a person I always fit 1 P O C carded figure in the smallest priority mailer box. You need to build the box around the figure not build the box then put the figure in it ( that will cause the card to bend) . Building the box around the figure fits the card perfectly n the card can not move at all. I have done this over 20 times without a complaint on eBay.

I reuse the boxes that the FSS figures come in to ship carded figures. Just put a plastic bag in there to keep the card pinned up against the side.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I figured with these figures, it could possibly be a collector that buys them, so I wanted to make sure I did it right! I've shipped quite a few loose pieces before, but never carded, so this info really helps.
I did try the smallest priority box, but the cards are too big. I will be looking for something a bit larger, and as well as looking into some clamshells. Thanks again! |
