How about those ebay sellers

Dont you just love it when you think your getting a great deal!The seller offers local pickup,and because his shipping is so high nobody bids but you.Then you win multiple items,and your ready to meat up and BOOM!The seller tells you that you have to pay a large pickup fee,and this was never mentioned before auction ended.
YEAH!YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

OH YEAH!You determened that you would just mail them.ITS BEEN 4 WEEKS WHERE ARE THEY?WHERE IS MY TRACKING #?
DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!
I was gonna drive 30 miles out of my way!

TODAY HE SAID THAT I WAS THREATENING HIM,BECAUSE I SAID I WAS GOING TO REPORT HIM,AND LEFT ME CRAZY FEEDBACK,AND IF YOU ARE READING THIS I DONT WANT MY MONEY OR YOUR CRAP,PLEASE KEEP MY CHARITY,YOU MUST NEED THE MONEY MORE THAN ME,JUST TAKE IT EASY ON THE NEXT BUYER!

A pick up fee, huh... Kill his feedback rating and warn others if he insists on it. I believe hidden fees are against ebay policies as well...

If it's not in the listing - it's not part of the deal. As the buyer the rules and feedback in this situation all tilt in your favor.

Yeah, if he is charging fees that he didn't announce, I'm sure that you can withdraw your bids and make him re-list, or offer second chance offers to other bidders.

If it was not stated in the auction definitely report it and let the seller know unless they adhere to what their auction states you will only post negative feedback since that is what type of transaction it is. Once you pull the negative feedback card you sometimes get way better results.

The thing is the USPS has gotten so out of hand for their shipping charges you don't know what to charge anymore. I always set a flat fee and 50% of the time I get screwed. But a pick up fee?? C'mon, you're driving out of your way to get it and he still charges you....WTF???

Mind you, I don't blame the guy for charging a fee. Selling on EBay is expensive as balls, and I usually add a dollar or two to eBay auction shipping fees to partially offset EBay/Paypal fees. But you have to let the potential buyer know what is going on.
