None of this stuff is worht more than $6-$7 a figure and even anything vintage is not worth more than $50-$80. Anything more than that is just plain stupid I am sorry....and this pile of paper for $400?? You have to be smoking crack!
How can you possibley justify paying $400 for this or more?? Do you think a vintage prototype piece should also be in the $50 - $80 price range. I'm not trying to say that this piece is as rare as a vintage prototype, but there's definately less of these playsets than there is of the figures that come with it. So the basic argument of rarity stands |

The cardboard construction of this and the Star wars playsets reminds me of the older Mego playsets. I can remember quite a few Planet of the Apes playsets, mostly cardboard with some plastic accessories. And other sets like the batcave or USS Enterprise. I had a lot of good playtime with those when I was little, but they certainly didn't survive.

I can see an actual gold plated or silver plated rare PDD going for $400 just because of the metal itself in the head if they really did that, not paper and plastic...I don't care if it is 500 years old, this is not worth more than $30 tops. Ther eis a million other childhood memories you can buy for that one item....

What all you nay-sayers don't get is while yes this is a cardboard set, it is also like saying opening up somone's garage and there sits a MINT 1969 Camaro with under a 100 miles on it is just a P.O.S. old car.
Those of you who DON'T get it have not been around from the start in '82 like some of us who have been around since then and would PROUD to have this in our collection! Again, yes it is cardboard, but it really have to understand just HOW rare it is. It's one of those things you either just get it or you don't. Again, anyone old enough to have had the ORIGINAL 13 as a child KNOWS what I am talking about. I'd rather have this than a MIB USS Flag any day of the week and twice on Sundays. My $0.02. .

$405.00 big ones...yeah I don't think so.
I don't care if its vintage its just not worth it. If I had copies of this thing I would make high-end scans and give them out for free to all who wanted one.

Cool thing, but too rich for my blood. I remember when this came out, I saw it once and then never again. My mom wouldn't buy it, and I was sooooo mad at her, lol.
